Ethics in Healthcare Delivery: Professional Boundaries
As part of developing therapeutic relationships with clients/patients, there is often consideration about what it means to maintain professional boundaries. This presentation will focus on the role and meaning of professional boundaries, with a particular emphasis on relevant ethical considerations. The importance of context and the foundational values of trust and respect will be highlighted. Some of the most common challenges and concerns with respect to professional boundaries will also be identified and explored, along with suggestions for navigating these in practice.
