Janani Suthan

Janani Suthan (she/they) is a queer South Asian sexuality educator who has been with CCGSD since 2018. At the Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) Janani facilitates workshops to school-aged youth on gender and sexuality, safer sex, healthy relationships and consent, and many other topics. They have also had multiple opportunities to gather like-minded queer and trans youth to share perspectives, experiences, and skills to improve sexual health education nationally. Their guiding philosophy is that anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, accessible and inclusive education will change the world! Janani’s also a big musical theatre nerd and a third degree black belt.
